New hands at the controls: hello from Darcy

Hello, Synclexia. I’m Darcy Weaver—the newer, better-paid web designer now at the controls.

A fresh pair of eyes, strong opinions about readable type, and a healthy respect for a link that goes where it says it goes. That’s the introduction.

And yes, better paid. I thought we should get that into the opening paragraph before anyone offered to settle an invoice in exposure.

A change in the lineup

The consulting company previously hired to work on this website is no longer part of the project. That arrangement is no more. Their chapter on the Synclexia website has closed, and I’m taking over the web design from here.

New hands at the controls. A fresh chapter for the site.

Keeping Synclexia on frequency

My brief is straightforward: give the music, the artists, and their stories a website with some character. Keep the independent spirit. Make the paths through the site clear. Let the details earn their place.

That means a roster you can explore, a catalog that invites another click, and a journal that gives the people behind the sound room to speak. The vintage studio look is staying on the dial, with plenty of care going into how it works on a phone as well as a bigger screen.

I’ll put the extra faith—and budget—to work.

Take a look around.
Meet the artists, explore the catalog, and keep up with the journal. There’s more on this frequency.
