“The Rad Red I” is an ethereal, psychedelic exploration of time, memory, and existence. The lyrics evoke a dreamlike atmosphere where past, present, and future blend into one surreal, timeless space. The imagery of shadows, echoes, candles, and flickering lights creates a hauntingly beautiful, almost supernatural setting.

The phrase “Rad Red” suggests a vivid, otherworldly dimension—perhaps a metaphor for a liminal space where time folds upon itself. The protagonist, a young girl, is depicted as both an observer and a participant, caught in an endless cycle of existence. She is surrounded by voices, visions, and spectral remnants of different eras, reinforcing the idea of time as something fluid rather than linear.

Musically, the song carries a hypnotic, immersive quality, with cosmic shoegaze elements to complement the dreamy, existential themes. The repeated chorus anchors the listener in the swirling chaos, emphasizing the cyclical nature of time and self-awareness.

Overall, “The Rad Red I” is a poetic and mystical piece, perfect for fans of surreal, introspective storytelling in music. It carries elements of psychedelic rock, darkwave, and even progressive dream pop.

The Rad Red ICherry Ember / Rad Red

In the corner of her room, shadows play on the wallShe’s drifting between worlds where the echoes callShe hears voices of her future, whispers of the pastIt’s all here in her present, time frozen, held fast

In the Rad Red, where moments collideWhere yesterday’s alive, and tomorrow won’t hideIt’s all spinning around her, in a cosmic hazeThe past, present, future—she’s caught in their gaze

Candles flicker low, casting secrets in the darkShe sees a thousand faces, each leaving their markShe tastes the dust of centuries, hears laughter and screamsIn her hands, all of time, breaking at the seams

In the Rad Red, where moments collideWhere yesterday’s alive, and tomorrow won’t hideIt’s all spinning around her, in a cosmic hazeThe past, present, future—she’s caught in their gaze

Ghosts of her youth, shadows of old ageMerge in the fog of this strange, endless stageShe’s floating between, in a world of her ownTime’s her companion but leaves her alone

Electric lights pulse, like stars in a stormShe feels alive and dead, reborn and wornA chorus of voices, layered like a spellThey sing to her softly, “Here you’ll dwell”

In the Rad Red, where moments collideWhere yesterday’s alive, and tomorrow won’t hideIt’s all spinning around her, in a cosmic hazeThe past, present, future—she’s caught in their gaze

And she’ll stay in the Rad Red, through the endless spinWhere time loses shape, and all worlds beginShe’s the keeper of the clock, the queen of her ownThe past, present, future—a world she’s sown

This surreal and ethereal image invites the viewer into a dreamlike vision where cosmic vastness and human fragility intertwine. The backdrop is a swirling galactic expanse, saturated with rich shades of crimson and deep black. These hues bleed into one another like a celestial storm, forming a nebula-like texture that feels both ominous and mesmerizing. White specks, resembling distant stars or drifting particles of light, glitter across the space, while glowing orbs and soft luminous patches punctuate the darkness, adding a layered depth to the visual field. The movement of the darker clouds flows diagonally across the image, creating a dynamic, almost tidal sense of motion, as if the universe itself is breathing.

From this cosmic turbulence, the delicate face of a young girl emerges on the right side of the composition. Her skin is porcelain-pale with the faintest blush, lending her an appearance of fragility and innocence. Her dark, oversized eyes shimmer with emotion—somewhere between melancholy, wonder, and silent yearning. Her lips, gently parted and tinged with soft pink, hint at a quiet voice never spoken. Black wisps of hair drift around her face and dissolve into the surrounding nebula, blurring the boundary between her and the cosmic swirl that envelopes her.

The integration of the girl’s face with the galaxy is seamless, as if she is a spirit conjured from stardust or a celestial entity fading into the void. This intentional blending deepens the dreamlike quality of the piece and suggests themes of isolation, transformation, and belonging—or the lack thereof—in an infinite universe. The art style leans into surrealism with a touch of anime influence, particularly in the girl’s proportions, imbuing the piece with both fantastical charm and emotional resonance. Overall, the image feels like a silent story suspended in space, a moment of fragile humanity adrift in the grandeur of the cosmos.

“Growing up, I filled notebooks with poems—some good, some… not so good. But as I got older and found my voice, I realized those words weren’t meant to stay on the page. I broke them out, shaped them into songs, and let them breathe. When it came time to truly express myself, I started with the color that burns the brightest in my world—red.

When I wrote ‘The Rad Red I,’ I was trying to capture something I could never quite escape—the Rad Red. That eerie, hovering glow that pulsed above me like a living cloud, thick with dread. It wasn’t just a color; it was a force, a presence. In its haze, time unraveled. I saw myself flicker between past, present, and future, like a film reel spinning out of control. Every version of me watching, knowing, but powerless to change the other. The song became my way of speaking to them—to myself—through the static.”
